Intrax Racing Suspension
Intrax Racing Suspension
Sold the old fashioned way - please call or email to discuss Intrax solutions for your car - We will need to know modifications, desired use, tyre choice(s), ARB's etc
If you are taking your racing or even track days seriously you will not want to skimp on suspension. OK so Intrax may well be twice the price of some solutions however we believe the premiums are justified when you look at the quality, and also the unique engineering features, such as Spring Rate Adjuster and 4 Way Race dampers.
Intrax Racing Suspension is well known at the higher end of the suspension market. They are located in Volkel, south from the centre of Holland, 1 hour by car from Amsterdam/Schiphol-Airport. Intrax offices are in the old WP Suspension offices made famous by their founder Henk Thuis.
It's not by coincidence because the founder of INTRAX (1991) and WP (1977) is the same man; Under the umbrella of Henk Thuis also started suspension companies like; Technoflex, Hyperpro, Ohlins Holland and Wilbers Suspension.
This means INTRAX can draw from 30 year intensive experience in the field of high end suspension technology.
Dozens of world championships in all fields from cross, race, enduro, off road, mountain bike, F3000 and even Formula 1 are a solid reference.
The involvement with Beneton and Michael Schumacher's World championships being perhaps a crowning moment. At the end of the WP period Henk found out that his love for automotive suspension was growing with each car project. It was this that drove Henk to start a new company focussing on 4 wheels rather than 2.
THE INTRAX RANGE
Intrax "RS" replacement shocks with springs are a superb upgrade to handling. They can be valved to your requirement from road to race. Adjustment: Other Features: Options: |

"HDA" forms the bridge to the high end suspension but still at an affordable price compared to overall costs of race and track car builds. Having an external nitrogen reservoir as well as high end internals for damping guarantees a perfect ride under all circumstances. Ideal for reliable street use and track use as well.

Intrax ARC System
Intrax ARC® system is developed by Intrax engineers to enable the use of of a softer spring and or damper setting with all the benefits (more traction, more grip, better handling, easier on the tyres etc.) but without the disadvantages (extra body roll, pitch, squad or a collapsing system due to the softer spring and or setting).
They didn’t want to use electronics because this will be seen as an active system which is still banned in 99% of all the competitions.
After lots of drawing, discussions and designing they started to test with a system which is purely hydraulic/mechanical and uses extra valves and pistons per shock. These extra parts react “intelligently” on the high and low speed of the piston connected to the piston rod without interfering with the normal adjusters of the high and low speed (so the ARC® can also be fitted on the 4-way system).
For the high speed the system builds up enough pressure to keep the unsprung weight under control. Together with the soft spring/setting you will have a much more optimized constant pressure per wheel which ensures more traction, grip etc. When you brake and or corner the system will build up a lot of pressure. This way keeping the body roll/pitch/squad and dive under control. Another aspect of the system is superior high speed damper control. So when you use kerbs on circuit, hitting big pot holes or landing after a jump the car will still feel very much under control.
