Performance Suspension Kits
consist of uprated springs and dampers. The main difference between these and coilovers is that they require preload to install in most cases. Therefore the spring rate is softer and more suitable for road use. Most of the springs are progressively wound unlike coilovers which are usually linear. Again this helps to give a decent ride, but a sporting performance in extremis.
