AST 5100 Series Coilover Suspension for Z4M - Special increased comfort kit developed by Balance Motor Sport in conjunction with AST - ideal for use in both Convertible and Coupe versions.

AST 5100 Series are a mono-tube inverted, high-pressure, coil-over damper system.

Utilising an inverted front strut the 5100 Series suspension reduces unsprung weight and in addition offers greater strength where it's needed with the high side loadings applied to a MacPherson strut suspension.

The use of Monotube technology offers advantages over their twin tube rivals chiefly their ability to combine a smooth ride with excellent spring control.

Especially noticeable is the way an AST Monotube damper deals with big bumps or potholes and its control of small deflections of suspension at high speed.

Damping force on rebound and compression combined is adjustable in 12 positions. These dampers are adjustable to several heights. Sport-Line shocks can be rebuilt and maintained. They guarantee a comfortable ride and are equipped with adjustable aluminium anodised spring seat.
